How it works
How custom dog face pajamas are made, from one photo
You hand over one photo of your dog. What happens to it next?
This is how custom dog face pajamas are made at MyDogPics: you upload one photo of your dog, we check it and cut the face from its background, and the design is printed into the fabric after you order. Every other gift we make follows the same path, then ships with USPS tracking.
- Every photo checked before anything is printed
- Made to order, never pulled from stock
- US addresses only, with free US shipping on every order

Pick your style, add one photo per dog, and a person checks it before anything is printed. Press play to follow one photo from upload to your door.
Three steps
How custom dog face pajamas are made, in three steps
Each order moves from your photo, to our check, to the printer, always in that order. Nothing is printed until the photo has passed.

Step 1
You upload one photo
Choose a design, set its size and background, then add the original photo from your camera roll. Designs made for more than one dog take one photo per dog.

Step 2
A person checks it and builds the artwork
A person looks at focus, light, the whole head and resolution at the size the face will print. The face is then cut from its background and set into the design you chose.

Step 3
We print and ship it
Printing starts only after you check out, so each piece is made for one order. It travels by USPS, with tracking, to your US address.

The photo check
Every photo is checked before anything is printed
We check each upload at the size its face will print: sharp eyes and nose, even light, the whole head from ear tips to chin, and enough resolution for the product. A small face repeated across pajamas asks less of a file than one face enlarged across a blanket, so one photo can suit one product and fall short for another.
If a photo will not print well, we email you for another one and the order waits for it. There is no proof or mockup to sign off on, because this check takes its place.
The print
Printed into the fabric, made to order
MyDogPics pajamas are printed by dye sublimation. Heat turns the dye into a gas that enters the polyester fibers and sets inside them as the cloth cools. The color becomes part of the fabric rather than a layer on top that can crack or peel.
- Satin sets in 100% polyester satin, finished with contrast piping
- Stretch sets and pants in a four-way-stretch knit of 95% polyester and 5% spandex
- The face pattern runs all over the garment, back included
Nothing is printed ahead of time or held in stock. Every other gift is printed to order from your artwork too, and its product page lists its own size, material and options.

Color
Will the printed colors match your screen?
Very close, but not exactly. Your phone or laptop makes color out of light (RGB), while your pajamas, blanket or socks are printed with ink (CMYK). Ink cannot reach every shade a screen can glow, so very bright colors like neon green, electric blue, hot pink and vivid purple print a little softer and deeper than they look online.

Ink can reproduce fewer vivid colors than a screen can show, so the shift comes from how printing works and not from a flaw in your photo. Treat the product photos and background swatches as a close guide, not an exact match.
A slight difference between your screen and the printed item is normal and is not a print defect. If one color matters a lot to you, email support@mydogpics.com before you order.
Upload a photo with natural colors
We print from the file you upload, so a color cast, a heavy filter or boosted saturation prints too, and shifts the most on fabric.
Expect rich, not glowing
Fur colors, cream, brown and soft pastels print closest to what you see on screen. Neon and very saturated shades shift the most.
Clearly wrong colors are covered
If the printed colors are clearly wrong compared with the file you uploaded, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we remake it or refund you. See returns, remakes and refunds.
Every screen is different
Brightness, night mode and display settings change how one photo looks on two phones, so judge your colors in daylight rather than on a single screen.
Light areas show the fabric
Printing has no white ink, so a very light area shows the color of the fabric underneath.
Small differences between prints are normal
Temperature, humidity and printer settings all affect ink, so two prints of the same file can differ slightly.

Placement
Where your dog’s face goes on each product
Once the photo passes, the face is cut out along the outline of the ears, fur and chin. The design you picked then decides how large it prints and how often it repeats.
On pajamas, that one cut-out face becomes an all-over pattern, front and back. The notes below cover every other product.
Pajamas: a pattern of small faces
On dog face pajamas the face repeats across the whole garment, so one photo becomes an all-over pattern. Each face prints small, which makes sharp eyes and a clean outline matter more than a huge file. Children’s sizes are in custom kid pajamas.
Socks: small faces on a stretchy surface
A sock stretches over the foot when worn, so a tight crop of the head with the eyes facing the camera reads best. Some designs take several dogs on one pair, one photo per dog. Browse custom dog socks to see the layouts.
T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts: a front print or a repeat
On a t-shirt, hoodie or sweatshirt, the design decides whether one larger face sits on the front or smaller faces repeat over the fabric. A single large face needs more detail from the photo than a repeat does.
Blankets and pillows: room for a large face
A blanket or a pillow enlarges the photo far more than clothing does. Soft focus, grain from a dim room and compression from a copied file all grow with the print, so send the full-size original.
Mugs: a face on a curved side
On a mug the face wraps onto a curved surface. A head that faces the camera, centered with a little space around the ears, stays readable as the side curves away.
Ornaments: one small face, cut close
An ornament is small, so one face fills most of it and fur texture shrinks away. Contrast and a clean outline matter most, and holiday designs are collected in dog Christmas ornaments.
Portraits: the face is the whole picture
A portrait sets your dog’s head, or head and shoulders, at the center of the piece. With nothing else competing for attention, true fur color and the expression around the eyes carry the likeness.
Memorial gifts: working with the photos you have
Memorial gifts follow the same three steps, made from a photo you already have. When the only photos are old or small, a product that prints the face small, such as an ornament or pajamas, usually suits them better than a blanket.
Delivery and care
Shipping, changes and what our promise covers
Every MyDogPics order is made for one customer, so the rules below are short and the same for every product.

Changes
Email support@mydogpics.com within 12 hours of ordering to swap the photo, change a size or the address, or cancel. After that, the piece is already being made from your photo.
If something is wrong
If an item arrives misprinted, damaged or wrong, send us a picture within 30 days of delivery and choose a remake or a refund. Photo quality, a size picked wrongly at checkout, a change of mind and normal wear are not covered. Full terms are on returns, remakes and refunds.
Your photo
We use your photo to make your order and to help with a remake. It is kept for 12 months after the order, and we delete it sooner whenever you ask.
Who it is for
Who this process suits: gift ideas for every dog person
The steps above are the same for every gift, and each card below shows the part of them that answers one buyer’s worry. Because the photo check comes before anything is printed, it carries the whole job of catching a weak picture, which is why a sharp original matters so much.
Dog moms
Dog mom gifts in a shop are slogans and a stranger’s dog, so hers often feels generic. Here the face comes from her own photo: it is cut out along the ears and chin, then set into the design she chose.
Dog dads
Dog dads are hard to shop for and rarely want to fuss with design software. The only jobs are one photo and a size, because we cut the face out and set it into the design for you.
Gift buyers for a dog lover
When you buy for a friend, sister or coworker who loves dogs, you may be guessing at a photo you have never seen. A person checks it, and if it is too small, dark or blurry we email you for another one before anything is printed, so ask the owner for the original file.
Kids and parents
Parents know kids outgrow pajamas fast, so a wrong size stings. Email within 12 hours of ordering to change a size, the photo or the address, before the piece goes to print. That window matters because a size picked wrongly at checkout is not covered by the remake-or-refund promise.
Matching families
In a matching family set, a mismatched piece or a missing person spoils the picture. Each person’s piece is its own order from the same photo, so adult and kids’ sizes can be mixed and a person checks every one.
Couples
Couples shopping for anniversary gifts often end up with the same gift every year. Matching pieces from the dog you share use one photo, with one order per person and each size chosen separately.
Grandparents
Grandparents live far away and miss the grand-dog, so the gift has to travel. Every order goes by USPS with tracking to a US address, and current production and delivery times are on the shipping page.
New puppy owners
The time with a new puppy goes by fast, and the face changes with it. The check looks for sharp eyes and nose, even light and the whole head in frame, which a close-up taken in soft daylight can give you.
Holiday and birthday shoppers
Last-minute holiday shopping is stressful, and nothing here is pulled from stock. Each piece is made after checkout, which means the order date sets the deadline, so check the shipping page for current times before you fix a date.
After the loss of a dog
After the loss of a dog, many people worry that ordering will feel cold or rushed. Memorial gifts follow the same steps from a photo you already have, nobody is pressed to decide, and we delete the photo whenever you ask.
Homes with several dogs
In a home with two dogs, one often gets left out. Designs made for more than one dog take one photo per dog, so upload a separate sharp photo for each, and the product page shows how many it holds.
Treating yourself
Ordering for yourself can feel awkward when your camera roll is already all dog. Treat yourself, just because: the same three steps and the same 30 days to report a problem apply to every order, gift or not.
Questions
Questions about the process
More answers on sizes, materials and payment are in the FAQ. For a question about one photo or one product, write to support@mydogpics.com and expect a reply within 24 hours.
What photo should I upload?
One clear, well-lit photo with your dog's whole head in frame and the face in focus. Phone photos are fine — send the original file at full size rather than a screenshot. See the photo guide for examples.
Will the printed colors match my screen?
Natural tones stay close, while neon and very saturated colors print softer, because a screen makes color from light and print makes it from ink. A slight difference is normal and is not a print defect. See why printed colors look different.
Do I get to see a preview before it is printed?
No. We print from the photo you upload, and there is no proof or preview step. We do check every photo before printing: if it is too small, too dark or too blurry to print well, we email you and ask for a different photo before anything goes to production.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email support@mydogpics.com within 12 hours of ordering and we will change or cancel it if the order has not gone to print yet. After it goes to print we cannot stop it, because the item is made only for you.
How long does it take to arrive?
Your item is made to order after you check out, and you get USPS tracking when it ships. Current production and delivery times are on the shipping page.
How much is shipping?
MyDogPics ships to US addresses only, with free US shipping on every order and USPS tracking on every parcel.
What if something is wrong with my order?
Email support@mydogpics.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem. Print defects, transit damage and wrong items are remade or refunded, your choice. See returns, remakes and refunds.
Can I put more than one dog on a product?
On products that have a multi-dog option, yes — upload one clear photo per dog.
What happens to my photo after the order?
We use it to make your product and to help with a reorder or a remake. We keep it for 12 months and then delete it, and we delete it sooner if you email us and ask.
We never sell it or use it in ads without asking you first. See the privacy policy.
