The process
How a photo becomes a product
Three steps. We look at your photo before anything is printed and only email you if it needs replacing — otherwise it goes straight into production.
1. Upload your dog's photo
Pick a product, upload one clear photo of your dog and add a name if you want one. See which photo works best.
2. We check the photo and prepare the artwork
We look at every photo before it goes to print. If it is too small, too dark or too blurry to print well, we email you and ask for another one first.
3. We print and ship
Your product is printed from your photo and shipped with USPS tracking. Production takes 2-3 business days, then 3-5 business days in transit inside the US.

How to get a photo of a dog you do not live with
This is the part that stops most people. It is solvable, and it does not have to spoil the surprise.
Ask for a photo of something else
People post their dog constantly and send those photos happily. Asking for “that one from the beach, full size” rarely reads as suspicious — asking for a photo of their dog for no reason does.
Social media is a last resort
A photo saved from a social app has been compressed twice and is usually the smallest version that exists. It can work on a mug or an ornament. It struggles on anything that prints large.
Ask a housemate, not the recipient
A partner, a sibling or a roommate can send you the original file straight from the camera roll. That is the version worth printing, and nobody has to be told why.
Which photo to use
What makes a photo print well
- Good, even light — daylight works best; avoid harsh shadows and backlighting.
- Sharp focus on the face — you should be able to see individual fur detail.
- The whole head in frame — ears, top of the head and chin, nothing cropped off.
- The biggest version of the file you have — send the original, not a screenshot or a photo re-saved from a chat app.
- One dog per photo, unless the product has a multi-dog option.
- You own the photo, or you have permission to use it.

Dog Gift Guides: common questions
What is a safe gift for someone who already has everything dog-related?
Something with their own dog on it. A generic dog-themed object can be duplicated by any shop; a product printed from their photo cannot. That is the whole reason this category exists.
I only have a social media photo of their dog. Is that enough?
Sometimes. Social apps compress images hard, so the file is usually small. It can be fine on a mug or an ornament and struggle on a portrait. Send it and we will tell you before anything is printed.
Can I have the gift sent straight to them?
Yes — enter their address as the shipping address at checkout. Orders ship inside the US only, with USPS tracking.
How far ahead should I order a gift?
2–3 business days to make it plus 3–5 business days in transit is 5–8 business days, which is roughly two calendar weeks once weekends are in. Add more if the photo might need replacing.
What if I pick the wrong thing?
Personalized items are made for one person, so we cannot take a change-of-mind return. If the print is defective, the item is damaged or it is the wrong item, email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery and you choose a remake or a refund.
