Dog Photo Product Guides

Your camera roll is mostly your dog. Which product should that photo go on?

These dog photo product guides follow one photo of your dog onto pajamas, socks, blankets, pillows, mugs, ornaments, portraits, T-shirts and hoodies. Each guide covers the photo a product needs, the choices that change the result and what to check before you order from MyDogPics.

Guides to custom pet pajamas

On custom pet pajamas your dog’s face is cut out of the photo and repeated across the fabric, so the photo and the fabric decide how the pair turns out. Start with the how-to if this is your first pair, then read the guide that answers the question you still have.

Guides to pillows, blankets and socks

A pillow shows the face large and up close, a blanket leaves room for a whole scene, and a sock shrinks the face to fit a foot. Each guide works out which photo survives that change and what separates a good design from a disappointing one.

Custom dog gifts made from your photo

Each design is made to order after checkout, from the photo you upload on the product page. Open any product to see its price, size, material and options before you choose.

You get free US shipping on every order, and every parcel carries USPS tracking. Current production and delivery times are on the shipping page.

Shop by product type

Everything in these collections is made to order from a photo of your dog, and each product page lists its own size, material and options. Pick the product first, then choose the photo that suits it from the table below.

Which photo suits which product

The same photo does a different job on each product, and the middle column is the one that decides whether yours will work. Compare it with the photo you have before you choose.

What each product asks of your dog photo
Product What happens to the face The photo to choose
Pajamas Cut out and repeated small across the fabric A head-on close-up with both ears and the chin in frame
Socks Printed smaller still, then stretched over the heel A tight close-up with clear contrast between face and fur
Pillows Seen large and close, so every flaw shows Your sharpest close-up, taken in soft daylight
Blankets Seen from across the room, often with space around the dog A sharp, well-lit photo in which the dog fills much of the frame
Mugs Wrapped around a curve and seen at arm’s length A clear face that reads at a glance
Ornaments Cropped to a small shape where only the face fits A tight close-up of the face alone
Portraits and prints Hung on a wall and studied up close The largest, sharpest original file you have
T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts Worn, so the fabric moves and folds A front-facing photo with the whole head in frame

Dog photo gift ideas: which product suits which dog person

A gift from this range is made for a person, from a photo of their own dog. Each card below names the buyer, the usual problem and the product that answers it.

Dog moms

Store “dog mom” gifts are slogans and a stranger’s breed, so hers feels generic. Pajamas are the natural pick, because her own dog is cut from her photo and repeated across the fabric instead of a stock breed. Start with dog mom gifts.

Dog dads

A dog dad is hard to shop for, and a gift card shows no thought. Men’s satin pajamas or unisex pajama pants carry his own dog on the print, and a mug is the lower-key pick for his desk. See dog dad gifts.

Gift buyers for a dog lover

A friend, sister or coworker who loves dogs often has everything, and a generic gift gets re-gifted. Ask for one sharp phone photo of their dog, because a person checks every photo before printing and emails you if it is too small, dark or blurry.

Kids and parents

Kids outgrow pajamas fast, and bedtime can still end in a fight. The pants start at kids’ 2Y with elastic cuffs that adjust the leg length as they grow, and the family dog on the print gives a reluctant kid a reason to put them on. See custom kid pajamas.

Matching families

At family photo time someone is left out of the matching outfits, or the sets are mismatched. Order one piece per person from the same dog photo, in adult and kids’ sizes, and the whole household wears one face.

Couples

Anniversary gifts feel the same every year, and a plain mug says little about the two of you. Matching pajamas printed with the dog you share, a women’s size for her and a men’s size for him, are a gift only the two of you can wear.

Grandparents

Grandparents who live far away miss the grand-dog between visits. A pair of socks, one size and crew length, goes to any US address with USPS tracking, and a tight, sharp crop of the face is the photo a sock needs.

New puppy owners

The puppy stage goes by fast, and a new puppy owner often has nothing personal in the house yet. A close-up from the first weeks becomes pajamas or an ornament, which means the keepsake holds the face as it looked in those weeks.

Holiday and birthday shoppers

Christmas and birthday shopping brings last-minute stress, and a gift off a shelf can feel generic. Every piece is made after checkout, which means the order date sets the deadline, so read the shipping page for current times first.

After the loss of a dog

After the loss of a dog the house can feel empty, and many people worry that a gift will hurt more than it helps. A quiet keepsake from a favorite photo, such as an ornament or a portrait, carries no deadline and no pressure. See dog memorial gifts.

Homes with several dogs

In a home with two dogs, one always gets left out of the gift. Some designs take more than one dog, with one photo per dog, and each product page shows its own limit; the multi-dog gifts gather them.

Treating yourself

Buying for yourself can feel awkward, even when your camera roll is already all dog. Treat yourself, just because: socks or pajamas need no occasion, only one sharp photo.

How MyDogPics turns one photo into a product

You upload the original photo on the product page, straight from your camera roll rather than a screenshot or a copy saved from a chat app. MyDogPics checks it, cuts your dog’s face out of the background and places it in the design. If the photo is too small, dark or blurry to print well, we email you for another one before anything is printed.

Nothing waits on a sign-off from you, because the photo check comes first and we only write when something needs fixing. Your order is printed after checkout and shipped with USPS tracking, and you can still change or cancel it by email within 12 hours of ordering, before it goes to print. The how it works page walks through each step.

What makes a photo print well

  • Good, even light — daylight works best; avoid harsh shadows and backlighting.
  • Sharp focus on the face — you should be able to see individual fur detail.
  • The whole head in frame — ears, top of the head and chin, nothing cropped off.
  • The biggest version of the file you have — send the original, not a screenshot or a photo re-saved from a chat app.
  • One dog per photo, unless the product has a multi-dog option.
  • You own the photo, or you have permission to use it.

If the photo you upload will not print well, we email you before printing and ask for a different one. Full photo guide.

Dog photo product guides: common questions

Which guide should I read first?

Read the guide for the product you plan to order, since each one starts from that product’s photo problem. If you have not chosen a product yet, the table above shows what each one asks of a photo, and the photo guide puts good and weak examples side by side.

Can one photo work for every product?

A sharp, evenly lit close-up of your dog’s head, taken at eye level with both ears in frame, works on almost everything. Wide shots are the problem: they can suit a blanket but fall apart on pajamas, socks or ornaments, where the face is cut out and printed small.

What happens if my photo won’t print well?

We check every photo before anything is printed, and if yours is too small, too dark or too blurry, we email you and ask for a different one. A weak photo therefore costs a short delay rather than a disappointing print.

Can I put two dogs on one product?

Some designs take more than one dog, and each product page shows its own limit. Upload one clear photo per dog, taken in similar light so the faces match in color; the multi-dog collection gathers the designs made for more than one.

How do I choose the right size?

Each product page lists its size, material and options, so start there rather than guessing from the photos. For anything you wear, compare the size details with a piece you already own, because returns do not cover a wrong size chosen at checkout.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Email support@mydogpics.com within 30 days of delivery with photos, and you choose a remake or a refund. That covers print defects, damage during shipping and wrong items, while photo quality and change of mind are not covered; the returns page has the details.

Choose the photo first, and the product becomes the easy part. Every MyDogPics order starts with that one upload. Free US shipping on every order, and your 2nd item is 25% off in the cart, automatically. You can also count on 30 days to have it remade or refunded if it arrives with a print defect, damaged or wrong.
